Tri-Cities Web Solutions has been designing websites since 2005, just two years after WordPress was introduced. We built websites before responsive design existed and successfully transitioned as web standards evolved.

Unlike many companies that rely entirely on page builders and pre-made templates, we have experience hand-coding HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and responsive layouts. That experience allows us to customize websites beyond the limitations of drag-and-drop editors when needed.

For more than two decades, we've continued to evolve with the web instead of starting over each time technology changed.

Before 2010, hand-coding websites was the industry standard. Website layouts were often designed in Photoshop and then carefully coded into fully functional web pages. Tri-Cities Web Solutions has experience with those techniques that many newer web design companies have never used.

Our own website is an example of a hand-coded design, and the nine featured websites shown at the top of this page were also built entirely by hand. While we now build most websites with WordPress and other modern technologies, we still have the coding knowledge to create custom features when needed. We showcase these earlier websites to demonstrate the experience and technical foundation behind the work we do today.

2005 – Tri-Cities Web Solutions was started.
2007 – The first iPhone was introduced.
2010 – Ethan Marcotte coined the term Responsive Web Design in his landmark article.
